FAQ – about breast fibroadenoma

There is a scarless and non-radiative treatment of breast fibroadenoma with ultrasound.

 

+How does a treatment work?
The patient is laying on her back or on his/her side. The ultrasound probe is positioned over the patient breast where the fibroadenoma is located. Ultrasounds are applied to the center of the target.

+How long does it take?
Treatment duration depends on the size of the fibroadenoma. The average treatment duration is around 1h.

Generally, patient enters in the morning and leaves the hospital in the early afternoon.

+Do we have to be anesthetized?
The intervention does not require general anesthesia. However, the patient is sedated but stays conscious during treatment.
